16+ weeks into our lockdown and it's disproportionately affecting people who are dependent on daily wages. One of the groups we work closely with are the safa tempo (electric minibus) drivers who have no work at all now because public transportation has been banned. Close to 200 families are affected and 112 families urgently need your help for basic food supplies.
Our company is working with Krishna Khadyanna, a poverty alleviation organization with a great reputation in Nepal for food distribution during the 2015 earthquake.
We have committed to donating NPR 55,000 (about US$455) to help provide food for 35 families. Through this crowdfunding campaign, we are trying to keep funding food for 112 families every week. Our company will continue to donate as much as we can to match your donations.
Every penny/rupee you donate will directly go to buying food for affected families. This effort is completely volunteer-powered!
